Privacy Policy
Draft template. This is a starting point, not legal advice. Please have it reviewed by a qualified lawyer before relying on it, and replace any bracketed placeholders.
This Privacy Policy explains how Yippee Holidays Pty Ltd (ACN 684 828 448) (“Yippee”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses and protects your personal information when you use the Yippee website, creator tools and the public pages we host (together, the “Service”). We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
Who this applies to
This policy covers both creators (people who sign up to build feature pages) and visitors(people who view creators’ public pages). Where a creator publishes content about you or others, the creator is responsible for that content.
Information we collect
- Account information — your email address and authentication details when you create an account, and any display name you set.
- Creator profile & content — profile details (display name, bio, avatar and cover images, social handles) and the content you add to your pages: photos and videos you upload, reviews, verdicts, tips, place details, locations/maps, and any booking or affiliate links you provide.
- Usage & analytics — events generated as pages are used, such as page views, saves and clicks on booking/affiliate links, so we can provide creators with performance insights.
- Technical & device data — information collected automatically, such as IP address, browser and device type, and log data, together with cookies and similar technologies (see below).
How we use your information
- To provide, operate and maintain the Service and your account;
- To host and publish creators’ public pages;

- To generate analytics and insights, and to improve the Service;
- To attribute clicks on affiliate/booking links for commission purposes (see Affiliate Disclosure);
- To communicate with you about your account or the Service; and
- To comply with our legal obligations and enforce our terms.
Cookies & similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies that are essential to run the Service — for example, to keep you signed in and maintain your session. We do not currently run third-party advertising trackers. Your browser settings can block or delete cookies, but some features may not work without them.
Service providers we use
We use trusted third parties to run the Service. They process data on our behalf, or provide functionality you choose to use:
- Supabase — authentication and database/hosting;
- Cloudinary — image storage, optimisation and delivery;
- Mapbox — maps;
- Google Places — location search and place details;
- TravelPayouts — generating tracked hotel booking / affiliate links.
These providers have their own privacy policies governing how they handle data.
How we share information
Content a creator publishes is public and can be viewed and shared by anyone. Beyond that, we share personal information only: with the service providers above; where required by law or to protect rights and safety; and in connection with a business sale or restructure. We do not sell your personal information.
Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and afterwards only as required to meet legal, accounting or reporting obligations, or to resolve disputes.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you can delete content from your pages at any time. To make a request or raise a privacy concern, contact us at [insert contact email]. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
Children
The Service is not directed to children and is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
International transfers
Some of our service providers may store or process data on servers located outside Australia. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with this policy and applicable law.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
